[It's actually a nice day out, today, and that's evident in this video when it starts. Several days of rain made for unpleasant traveling, but Jimmy was fine with staying in Azalea for a bit longer. It's a sleepy little town that he actually finds quite pleasant. He'd been so used to things just constantly happening, back home, so having long stretches of downtime like this had the tendency to make him restless. Traveling with someone helped to alleviate that, at least.

The dappled shadows cast across Jimmy's face and shoulders indicate how large the tree he's lounging under is, his Furret curled around his back to serve as a fuzzy cushion. He's not wearing his jacket for once since the rain finally decided to leave for a day, left in his usual green T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. The shirt is obviously not the same as the one he arrived in, if the pokeball insignia on the pocket is anything to go by.

Next to him in the grass is a Treecko, peering up at him with wide, yellow eyes. She seems to be running on the idea that if she can't see Jimmy, he can't see her, making her perfectly camouflaged in the grass and at a perfect angle to pounce playfully on his fingers when he's not looking. He doesn't seem to mind it, though, wiggling them a little to encourage her as she rolls over with a squeak before bounding off and to hide in the taller grass again.

Jimmy seems a little subdued today. Not unhappy or upset at all, just...thoughtful. It's a little unusual for him, but he's had a lot of time to think while on the road again. He never aged back home, so now that a year's gone by, time really seems to be flying in Johto.

After a moment he talks, not looking at the screen just yet.]

So there's somethin' I've been wondering about, lately. Back home in Miseryville, I never really...

[He pauses, trying to find the right words.]

...I never really did anything, yaknow? Like I mean- my friend Heloise worked as an inventor and helped design pretty much all the products sold back home. My friend Beezy...well, he didn't do much either, but his dad rules everything so he's gonna end up taking his job one day anyway, so he doesn't really have to do anything yet, I guess. Molotov's a body guard, Samy's a secretary guy...

I did have little jobs sometimes. Like, I was a product tester once...and then I worked as a cook at a restaurant for a little while. But other than stuff like that, I never really had anything I was known for. I guess it's just kinda weird to think about that, since I work with the Circus here...that's pretty much what I've done since I got here.

So, I guess I wanted to ask you guys what you do, back home? Did you have any cool jobs or businesses that you ran? Maybe just a hobby or something? If you wanna talk to me about it, I'm not really doing anything today.

[He turns to watch the Treecko jump at his hand again before switching off the feed.]

_{[Molly's been a little bit restless too, but that's what you get when you're from a big city. That said she's adjusted admirably to the slow pace of Johto in general and Azalea in particular, and has started to perfect how to pass the time even without places to really be.]

[That said, she's still quick to find excuses to return to Jimmy (for a few reasons), so some time after he's sent out his message, when she's seen it, she sprints through the town to find him, her Eevee and Zorua excitedly in tow.]

[She just kinda skids to a halt and drops onto her knees next to him when she does find him, out of breath but smiling.]}

[Jimmy can't help but smile when Molly plops down in front of him, his Treecko looking up at her too. He really enjoys her company, so his excitement in seeing her is always genuine. Cherry looks up too, blinking sleepily. She must have been starting to doze off in the shade.]

Hey Molly. Where have you been this time?

[Teddie can't believe his ears when he pops onto the feed, grabbing his face in what can only be described as agony. Apparently whatever this kid said really set him off, enough to finally stop his trek towards the next town and pay attention to the gear. What is this kid saying?! How is he hearing these things?!]

You work at a CIRCUS and you're askin' if anyone else has any cool jobs?! There's no com-bear-ison, you've reached the highest height of the cool job ladder!!

[WELL HELLO THERE FRIEND.]

Well, I mean jobs back home! I didn't work at the Circus until I got here!

[Teddie pouts his lips like he's five or something.]

It still coooounts~

[Because let's be real, he's not sure there aren't any cooler jobs here, either.]

Me thinks you just wanted to brag.

[Jimmy raises a brow at that, sitting up a bit straighter so his shoulders aren't quite digging into his Furret's side so badly.]

It's not like you couldn't work for the Circus too, if you really wanted! We're always looking for new people to come help out!

[...actually.]

We've been looking for people to help out with a haunted house we plan on opening up when Halloween comes, in particular!

Around. I'm teaching Sunny and Trixie how to play hide and go seek.

_{[Trixie kinda snickers at that cause she got it real quick, while Sunny just ignores her for now and climbs into Molly's lap.]}

Not all day. Most of it, though.

[What can he say? It's been something of a lazy day. He lifts an arm to drape it across the back of Cherry's neck, letting his hand rest atop her head.]

Yeah? You'd think I wouldn't really care so much. I mean, having a job at the circus is only the coolest thing ever.

[Now see, that's more like it. More people need to offer Teddie amazing things when he whines like a two year old. Well done, day two, well done.]

I-I-I could work at a circus?! You mean it?! No stock duty or nothin'?!

[That's important, his future career depends on that answer.]

Not unless you wanted! I don't think Joker would mind. Like I said, we're always looking for new people for acts and different things!

[...Who would want to do stock duty? Those poor souls, Teddie feels for them.]

Why I am the great fuzzy prince Teddie, and I just so happen to have the same number of shoes as you do!

[JUST TO MAKE SURE, Teddie looks down and counts. He actually takes this time to count his feet.]

Yup! Still two!

[That gets Jimmy to laugh, and genuinely at that. Oh man, he already likes you.]

Well, it's nice to meet you, Teddie! Are you really a prince? Cause that's super cool!

...As far as you know, sure!

[Teddie is by no means a good liar, but he will sure as hell try. Especially if he can convince people he is legit royalty.]

Sometimes I'm even a king when I feel like it, or even a bearutiful girl! [He nods his head, awfully proud of himself.] Yup, I don't think there's nothing I can't be right now.

Well, y'know I ran the Noah's Arc Circus back home in England...

[Has he ever told Jimmy the exact name? Joker can't quite recall. There's a pause as he debates something before deciding... Well. It couldn't hurt. He's known Jimmy long enough.]

Did some butler work, too, from time ta time. I ever tell ya that?

[No, see, the thing about Jimmy is that he is just totally fine with rolling with this. It doesn't seem to phase him much at all.]

So do you want me to call you King Teddie, Prince Teddie, or just Teddie?

No, I don't think so! Did you like it?

[Both the names Noah's Arc and Eve's Garden have zero meaning to Jimmy, ironically enough...but he finds himself liking the sound of both, regardless.]

Everyone has to start with small jobs before finding stable employment. You still have plenty of time to find a trade of your own.

[Then again, if those friends of his are the same age...]

I'm a spaceship captain, a mobile suit pilot, and an amateur engineer. It's fulfilling and challenging work, but I have to admit that it didn't lead to a lot of job offers for me around here.

[Heloise is...probably his age?

...Beezy's age is a bit more questionable, though.]

Woooooah... that's seriously your job!? That's the coolest thing I've ever heard!

[Probably because Jimmy's current dream job is to be a pilot.]

Heh. It's not really that cool. Between the two armies and various private companies, all three are actually relatively common. It's the combination that's somewhat rarer, though not by much.

[...Okay, that is a filthy lie. It really is that cool.]

Still though! I bet not many people here can say they've had a job like that, before.

Not many people here come from worlds where space travel is common, somehow. It's like everyone's technology is centuries behind.

I work as a freelance photographer. I sell pictures to newspapers and stuff like that, or on the internet as stock photography.

[ She says, as she idly plays with her camera and turns it in her hands. ]

Maybe it is! ...I mean, I was able to go to the moon once, back home...that was really cool. But only once.
