[In sharp contrast to a video Jimmy posted earlier in the month, Jimmy decides to make a quick post rather...early in the morning because OH MY GOD IT'S CHRISTMAS. He's sitting on a bed in a hotel room with three Furrets coiled all around him, each one wearing a different colored body scarf. One of them has her head in Jimmy's lap, another has his pink head jammed beneath one of Jimmy's arms, and the third seems to be making noises that sound a whole lot like a revving motor boat.]

Merry Christmas Kanto, Johto, and everywhere else in the world! I hope you guys have a great day, no matter what you celebrate! It's been snowing all week, even all the way over here in Fuschia City. Is it snowing where you are right now? Hopefully you'll be able to stay warm!

[It's not her holiday, but the Water Tribe has a big winter holiday with gift giving and things, and lots of people here do celebrate this whole Christmas festival.]

It's snowing here, at least!

Haha, that's not too surprising. But it's fitting, anyway. I'm still not used to having a Christmas as white as this.

[Or...having Christmas at all, he guesses.]

Is it? I just learned about Christmas the other week, we don't have it where I come from.

Just hanging out at the hotel with my awesome people.

Uh huh! Mostly cause it's been snowing aaall week, though.

And that's cool! I'm doing the same thing, pretty much. Me and Joker are spending Christmas in Kanto this year.

[It may be early, but York's bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. That or he's been up for a while putting his own Christmas plans in motion. The finishing touches appear to be underway, as he's busy affixing a big red bow to a door as the snow flutters down. His shiny young Sneasel is scampering around, trying to catch flakes on his tongue.]

I don't know about anywhere else, but we've got some flurries still coming down in Goldenrod. Nothing like earlier in the week, though.

[He doesn't seem to mind reiterating as his Furret trio lean in close to the camera, chirping their agreement to the sentiment.]

Looks like you got your place decorated up all nice! Are you doin' anything special today?

[When the bow is done to his satisfaction, he straightens and stretches his back, pleased.]

I'll say we are. Can you keep a secret, man?

[Ilya rolls her sleep-rimmed eyes, but she's grinning at him, nonetheless.]

I kinda hope it keeps up, I like the snow. Feels like home!

Oh, you're in Kanto? Is it really different there?

And in some ways it is, yeah! There are a lot of different towns, and some of the routes are longer, or shorter...I think the biggest thing though is that there's lots of Pokemon here you don't see over in Johto.

[He smiles and sweeps a hand back at the house.]

This is North's Christmas present from me and Carolina. We're gonna show him soon as he wakes up.

Aw, how cool! I bet he's really gonna like it!

[Not just a nice house, but a festive one to boot.]

He better. Anyway, that's our plan for the day. How about you, anything exciting?

Me and Joker have been traveling through Kanto all month, but we're gonna stay in Fuchsia city for Christmas! I think staying put and just taking it easy for a couple days is mostly what we've got going on. But I'm gonna see if he wants to check out the rest of the town with me later. Maybe we can find a good place to go eat.

Good eats are a way important part of celebrating the holidays. Hey, if you find anything good, could you let me know? We're not going anywhere for now, but I'm gonna try to find some time to travel next year.

Just going to spend the day with my girls... maybe take them out around the city or the like. I've done my caroling already, though I neglected to do it over the gear this time...

[She kind of regrets that, actually. It'd been sort of becoming a tradition.]

Then again, Riku and Sora didn't have their absurd competition about Santa this year either.

Wow, really? And I thought there were a ton of Pokemon here!

Sure thing! Kanto has been a really cool place so far, so you should totally come when you get the chance! After you get a good look around Johto, anyway.

Totally! The same thing goes for Johto too, I think. There's always gonna be some Pokemon over there that aren't over here.

I'm gonna have to look into Kanto Pokemon!

[...well now he's curious.]

Santa competition? Whatcha' mean?

Is there any specific types you're after? Or just new stuff?

I like elemental types.

Elemental, huh? So that means like...fire and water, right?

Yeah! And ice and ground and flying - ground's like earth, and flying's like air.

Oh, and steel. That's like metal.

Metal?

[Jimmy tilts his head a little.]

Does metal count as an element?

Oh, every year those two ask the network who believes in Santa and who doesn't, with Riku betting more people won't and Sora that more people will. The loser has to sing over the network.

But they didn't do it this year. Perhaps Riku's given up after losing every previous year.

Yup! Metal's just a specific kind of Earth.

There's more than just dirt and rocks down there.

[Oh no. Jimmy can't help but laugh at that.]

Haha, aw man! I woulda' loved to see them do that!

Woooah...that's pretty cool!

Does Electricity count as an element too?

Well, I guess that'd be lightning, and that's part of Fire...

It was pretty amusing, even if their taste in music is honestly atrocious.

[She might be a bit of a snob about that.]

Awww I bet it wasn't that bad. Unless you just aren't really a fan of Christmas music.

I enjoy good Christmas music. "Oh Tannenbaum", "I Saw Three Ships", even "Silent Night". I do not enjoy the likes of "Jingle Bells", "Santa Clause Is Coming To Town", or- [She shudders.] "Twelve Days of Christmas".

Leeemme guess...those are the kinds of songs they picked?

Was it that obvious?

[The sarcasm is practically dripping from her voice.]

I don't think they even know any of the good ones.

Well, if they decide to do that next year, maybe you can suggest the good ones? Then they'd have a lot more songs to pick from.

That's not a bad idea. I can probably make them listen to me.

Though they might butcher the more complex ones.
