Hello ... Jimmy?

You said I could call you. Um, someone left an egg in my sleeping bag. Is that normal? What do I do with it?

[Comes Jimmy's slightly groggy response. Sounds like he just woke up.]

Molly?...yeah, of course. You say you got an egg?

[It's around this time that he shifts in bed and looks over...to see an egg sitting near the foot of his bed.]

Woah! Um...looks like I've got one too? Uuh...I would'a said that sometimes Pokemon can...breed, if you're not careful, but you don't have enough Pokemon to breed yet. Then again, it is Christmas...

As for what to do with it, keep it! It'll hatch into something sooner or later if you travel around with it in your bag.

_{[And apology that comes pretty much immediately when she can tell he's probably half asleep. She's a polite kid.]}

That's so weird. It's not even Christmas.

[As far as Santa goes, Jimmy has absolutely no idea. Maybe it does? He sure as heck can't explain how the egg got here, but...stranger things have happened.]

Yeah, kinda! Strange stuff like this happens here, sometimes...so it's kinda just something you gotta get used to.

[He's not sure what time you were yoinked from, Molly, but today is absolutely Christmas and he is super excited okay. He doesn't even mind being woken up.]

And...I dunno! I'm not a breeder so I dunno what different Pokemon eggs look like. Mine doesn't...look like anything I recognize, actually.

_{[She's working from March 20th, so this just feels like a weird replay. And Christmas sort of lost its magic for her so she doesn't feel particularly impressed anyway.]

I'm sure you'll think of something! I usually go with whatever reminds me of them...or I name them after somebody I know back home.

Yeah! At home, Mohinder has a lizard named Mohinder. It's great because you can talk about the lizard and confuse Mohinder on purpose.

[Okay, that causes Jimmy to laugh, too.]

If my pal Lucius were here, he'd be real confused if he met my Houndoom. ...cause his name is Lucius, too.

[She laughs more, then kind of audibly settles back down, probably into her sleeping bag. There's a small chirp there too.]}

Hey, do you know if there's a place to stay when you get to the Cherry town? I don't have a lot of money.

Well, the second you get to Cherrygrove, go to the Pokemon Center. It's gonna be the big building with the red roof, can't miss it. You can stay there as long as you need to.

[He falls silent a moment, thinking.]

Say, Molly. You're...traveling by yourself right now, yeah?

I guess not. I met this guy and we're going the same way. And I have my bird.

I'm in a town right now called Goldenrod City. On foot...it'd prolly take about a month to get here from Cherrygrove, and and maybe a couple days to a week if you're flying.

But the reason I asked is cause...I didn't really like traveling alone when I first got here. I'm with a friend of mine right now and it's a whole lot better. I'm not sure where we'll be headed next, but it looks like we're gonna be in Goldenrod at least for the rest of this month.

But if you ever wanna get somewhere quick, or have someone to travel with...just call me and let me know, okay? I've got Pokemon you can ride and fly on, so it makes traveling go by a lot quicker.

Mhm! It's called the Eve's Garden Circus, run by the friend I'm traveling with, Joker! You know how circuses have animals and acrobats and stuff like that?

Well this one is the same, but it's got Pokemon instead! I'm one of the side acts in the show, actually! [A "jack of all trades", as Joker has put it.] So I could get you a really good seat, right up front! A big show is held once a month here and everything.

Wow, that'd be great! I'll remember that!
