Heeeeey, Jimmy, buddy, pal, it's Ralph. Call me back when you get the chance! I need to, ah, ask a favor.

Hey Ralph! Whatcha need?

[He doesn't even need to ask- whatever it is, Jimmy Two-Shoes is on the case.]

_{[Oh, he knows, but it sure is embarssing.]}

Oh, heya kiddo! Okay, so... You're a kid. You know how to ride a bike, right?

Sure I do! Bikes, skateboards, if its got wheels, I prolly know how to ride it!

[THAT...probably isn't true.]

Why?

Well, turns out I kinda sorta promised someone I'd show them how to ride a bike...but I've never done it so I thought I'd see if you had any pointers.

[There's an audible gasp on the other end.]

You've come to the right guy, Ralph! Why tell you about it when I could show you? Where are you at right now, you in Goldenrod?

I knew I could count on you! And uh--well why not? I'm on my way back from the Pokemon Center.

Okay, cool! Think you could meet me at the big top? I'll bring all my Gear over there!

Alright. I gotta head that way anyhow.

_{[AND SO, some time later, Ralph can be seen on the horizon making his way onto the carnival grounds. He looks thoughtful.]}

[Just before Ralph gets there, he might hear the ringring! of a bell just before Jimmy can be heard calling in the distance.]

Hey Raalph! Over here!

[And there he is, sitting on a bright green bike with one leg keeping it balanced. A few of his other Pokemon are watching from the sidelines, possibly to make sure he doesn't wreck and hurt himself or something.]

_{[He sends the kid a wave and takes his sweet time closing the gap between them.]}

Nice t' see ya again, kid. And thanks again. I know this must seem pretty weird. So! What do you do first?

Well, it's actually pretty easy! It's all about keeping your balance! You just get the bike standing like this, one foot on one pedal and...

[He stands up, putting his weight on that foot so he can bring his other up, starting to pedal the bike in a wide circle.]

You stand, and pedal! Nothin' to it!

_{[Ralph leans down to watch Jimmy's technique, hands on his knees.]}

That's it? I figured there'd be more to it than that.

More? Like what?

[Well, it is probably a lot harder than Jimmy's making it out to be. After all, balancing on a bike isn't easy if you've never done it.]

I dunno... _{[He scratches his head.]} So I should just tell 'em to get on and balance? Oh! And, uh, a helmet. I guess I should get him a helmet.

Yeah, a helmet! Now, if they're really new, you could always get 'em some training wheels to start with. That way, they wouldn't have to worry about balancing as much at first!

Training wheels, right...ah geez, I didn't even ask if he HAD a bike!

_{[He drags a hand down his face.]}

I knew I was gonna mess this up.

Who is it that wants to learn to ride, Ralph?

His name's Wrath. You've probably seen 'em around.

Oh, yeah! He showed up for a little while when I was hanging out with Joker the other day.

Well hey, if you think you need help teachin' him how to ride when he actually gets a bike, just let me know! And if he doesn't got one, I wouldn't mind letting him borrow mine!

_{[Ralph reaches out and claps a hand on Jimmy's shoulders.]}

Kid, you're a life saver, y'know that? This is gonna mean a lot to 'em. Someone he was real close to went home and he's been really blue ever since. You know how it is.

Aww...it's no problem, Ralph. I just wanna try and help make people happy, that's all! And if this will help him feel better, then I'll make sure he's learned how to ride before the month's over!
