That's good! I had a little trouble with one of my Pokemon early on, but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle. I think otherwise, people like to get badges so they can say they got them, yaknow? Kinda like a competition.

That makes sense. If you've got more badges then you've got bragging rights. Seems like a pretty trivial thing to brag about though.

Hm...to us, maybe! But the people who live here are really used to having Pokemon around and there being trainers and stuff...so I figure that's prolly why it's so popular.

And I think it's fun!

[He can't imagine ever having fun travelling for weeks, getting a badge, then travelling some more. Yikes.]

Yeah, for sure! Now that it's gonna be summer soon, it'll be a lot easier to go back to the towns I missed, too. It was kinda snowing too much to get anywhere fast, before.

Yeah. You'd think winter wouldn't be so bad here since there's no transportation. Or maybe it's the other way around? If the winters are bad there'd be more transportation. Something like that.

It's almost worse cause you gotta ride your Pokemon, and they can't stand the cold forever or anything like a bus or something could.

...yaknow sometimes I think about buying a bicycle, but it's a lot more fun just traveling with my Pokemon.

[Who knows, maybe he'll get one when he makes it back to Goldenrod just for the heck of it.]

I didn't know there were bicycles. I guess that might make travelling easier, or at least faster.

[Jimmy looks up from where he was pulling a comb through his Furfrou's fur. Since he's been stuck inside a lot recently he's taken to pampering his Pokemon a bit, and Winter sure doesn't seem to mind.]

Oh, sure! That'd be great! When are we gonna go?

Weeeeeeell, right now. If yer not busy.

[He waves his 'gear about from where he's been talking with Ilya. You know, how they've both been talking to her. At the same time. Eeeey.]

[Wow, he didn't even notice!]

Nope, I'm not busy! I can be ready to go in just a sec!

[The Furfrou between his knees sortof tosses her head a little with a snort, but she doesn't protest more than that. She's gotten a good brushing, so that's all she really cares about.]

[He starts to do just that before pausing, his usual cheery facade flickering just for a moment.]

[Jimmy doesn't look up from where he's busily putting the comb and other things he had been using to brush Winter with away, humming a little to himself.]

Y'know how folks get near naked at hot springs?

[In spite of the question, Jimmy actually doesn't seem...all that phased, being that he's never really been to a hot springs before. And the lava oceans of Miseryville don't technically count.]

Yep. There'll be towels ya wear ta keep yer privates continuously private, but ya won't be wearin' much besides that.

[He sure is glad he decided to bring this up while they're still in the hotel room.]

[He shrugs, zipping up his bag before continuing.]

It shouldn't be a big deal or anything. Not much different than wearing a bathing suit, after all.
