001 | Video/Action for New Bark
[When the feed begins, anyone tuning in to the Network is going to be graced with a nose curiously sniffing at the 'Gear, which nearly drowns out the barely detectable sound of someone cheerily humming to the ever present background music that happens to accompany New Bark Town and just about everywhere besides. The humming stops before the creature behind said nose is gently pulled away, revealing the cheery face of a boy who couldn't be much older than 15. He sits with the 'Gear held against his knees, a bright, gap-toothed grin on his face as he shifts into a more comfortable position with his back to a tree.
Sitting in his lap is a rather fluffy Electrike who seems overly curious with just about everything the boy is doing. So much so, in fact, that he has to put a hand on the Pokémon's head to get him to sit still long enough so he can talk.]
Beezy! Heloise! Are you guys around? Can you hear me-?
[The Electrike lets out a low, playful growl and bumps his head against the bottom of the boy's chin, causing him to laugh and trial off before he can continue.]
Heheh, looks like I made a new friend! Gonna hafta' come up with a nickname for you, boy.
[He seems pleased by that, finally settling down enough so the boy can turn his full attention to the 'Gear in his hands.]
Anyways, my name's Jimmy, Jimmy Two-Shoes! I uh....wow, I've never seen a place as bright and nice as this! And the sky is blue, that's awesmazing!
[Clearly this is a kid who hasn't experienced Pokémon in any way, shape, or form....but one wonders as to why the sky should strike him as unusual.
Also yes that is a word that he may or may not have come up with because why not.]
But....could anybody out there tell me where I am, exactly? Or how I got here from Miseryville? I know the map says "New Bark Town", but...I've never heard of a place like that. ..Maybe one of Heloise's inventions sent me here and I just forgot or something...
[He shakes his head a little, laughing to himself. Jimmy might not exactly understand what's going on, but he doesn't seem to be chomping at the bit to go home or anything. He's used to strange and different creatures, so the idea of Pokémon is just something new for him to experience.
Jimmy trails off again after that, distracted by just about everything from the strangely colored sky, to the people (and someone claiming to be his...mom. Not sure what that was about, but she was nice enough. ...Not that he's ever had one.), to the Pokémon themselves. He eventually ends the feed there, the picture of an excited child with lots of questions waiting to be answered.]

video;
[Joker's friend being one little Mime Jr. with an everstone neckless peeking into the 'Gear with a smile.]
video;
Jimmy can't help but give the little Mime Jr. a cheerful wave, gasping with surprise when it makes it's appearance.]
Nnnope! What deal?
video;
They scuffle with one another- 'tho I suppose it looks a lot more violent than that, and it's a lot fancier too. Could give ya an example with my own if ya would like.
[They've been getting a little antsy anyway.]
video;
That'd be awesome, if you could!
[It's gotten Electrike's full attention by now, too.]
video;
[The Mime Jr. gives an affirmative nod and bolts off. Joker adjusts the 'Gear in his lap. Looks like fortunately he was already out at the park in Goldenrod today, so there won't be need for much more moving.]
[The Mime Jr. bustled over to get a happy looking little Spheal, Pokechattering at it until an agreement is apparently met. They dart off to a decent area apart from one another (or bounce in the case of the Spheal) before facing to turn one another. Immediately, the little Spheal seems to just summon a rather large bit of water beneath it to rush towards the Mime Jr. In contrast, the little clown just gives a confident huff and holds her hands out in front of her. A shimmering blue wall of sorts appears in front of her. There's a crash of water, the Spheal riding along and spinning back to face behind her..]
[Angel is just shaking off some water but looking for the part mostly unharmed.]
[Sort of the reason Joker chose them, really. Angel is much stronger than dear little Sapphire.]
video;
By the time they've both stopped, Electrike lets out an excited bark, some static crackling audibly through his fur.]
That was incredible! And all Pokémon can do that?
Oh, and that didn't hurt them, did it?
[Time for 20 questions.]
video;
Heh, looks like yer friend there might be electric. [Kinda obvious.]
They can get a bit hurt, but a lotta them don't seem ta mind. Pokemon Centers fix 'em right up.
video;
Ooohh, ok gotcha! ..So where are the Pokemon Centers?
video;
[...well-]
Besides the one yer in right now.
video;
[And convenient.]
..So what about those... gyms you were talking about? What are those for?
video;
[Which is what Joker is the most interested in, really.]
video;
[According to "MOM" anyway.]
I can try to beat the gyms!
Might be kinda....hard with just one Pokémon though.
[No offense, Electrike.]
video;
Ya can either catch 'em like I did with Rogue- [HI SO I HEARD YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT ME. That sure is a Furret forcing his way onto the screen, to Joker's amusement.] Or there's a place ya can buy 'em from. Actually, I hear the first one's free for a new lad like yerself.
I've gotten more than a few that way myself! Got Saph and Sabre from a lass who was sellin' the eggs her group had, but Invidia, Ruby, Caesar, and Boom were all from that breedin' place.
video;
Aww! Wow, I'm gonna have to go there then, as soon as I can!
[Because free Pokémon aw yiss.]
..Oh this might be a weird question, actually...but where are you right now, Joker?
[Hopefully he'll be able to get on the road soon so he's not in such a solitary area, considering everyone else has probably high-tailed it by now.]
video;
I'll be here for a while myself~. Got some things I'd like ta set up.
video;
[He does seem intrigued by beating the gyms, so once he can get a good roster going that will be the next thing on Jimmy's to-do list.
Beyond just exploring EVERYTHING.]
video;
Good luck with travelin'~. And be careful a Saionji, she's a bit tricky an' full a venom.
[Yeah he saw that.]
video;
[Wow, so Joker and Souda have the same opinion of Saionji, huh? He frowns slightly, sighing.]
Don't worry, I will. I'm gonna have to have a talk with her, eventually.
[LYING TO AND TRICKING PEOPLE IS MEAN HE THOUGHT YOU WERE HIS FRIEND :C.]
video;
video;
video;
video;
W-well gee, that's...that's awful! She seemed so nice too..
video;
Not that she's much a lady when ya get her talkin'.
video; [Filtered to Joker]
Yeah, I....I guesso.
...
[Just gonna...quietly filter this after a little fiddling with the 'Gear because even if she deserves it he feels bad saying it.]
I'm surprised she's got any friends, treating people that way.
video; [Filtered]
Just like messin' with her, really.
