[How freaking nice is Jimmy Two-Shoes? His name is literally Jimmy Two-Shoes, what the heck. Not only did he fly her there - kind of fun, honestly, flying on the back of a Pokémon - but her hotel room's paid and provided for, even though it's...quite expensive. There's definitely a new inspiration for her to get into battling, much to Agatha's joy...

Today, they're meeting up outside the hotel, and he's going to show her around Goldenrod City, which...yeah, she has to admit, is kind of cool at first glance. Her Pokémon sure seem to like it, the four of them she has with her. Yes, four, because she awoke to a surprise this morning, that being the Trauma Friend Munna hatching from his egg. Hopefully Jimmy won't mind her little parade of small creatures, what with the Zubat snuggled into her neck and the Espurr staring at the sun and the Litwick looking for water-types to fight and the Munna just...floating there.

A fun team.

In any case. Here she is, waiting, stifling a yawn. (Yeesh, she can't wait to test out her Munna's powers.)]

[If Ashley was worried that Jimmy would have a problem with her gaggle of 'mons following her around, then she'll be pleasantly surprised when she sees him approaching the hotel from the distance. Incidentally, he'd been spending most of his morning checking up on Jack's Mansion along with all of the resident ghosts inside since they'd been left alone while he was traveling. Now, he's got his trusty Manectric partner trotting at his side while his Houndoom quietly pads along at the other. He thought about bringing more of his companions with him to meet Ashley, but...well, best not overdo it.

He pulls his hand from his pocket and gives her a wave in greeting once he and his canines venture close enough, a wide smile spreading across his face.]

Hi, Ashley! How'd you sleep last night?

[What a loaded question.]

The, uh, hotel's really nice! Very comfy. Thank you again for putting me up.

[Doesn't really answer the question, but if she just presses on-] I see you're bringing your Pokémon out too. They're so much bigger than mine!

[She's only 5'3" so they're actually just a head shorter than here.]

Happy to help! Oh yeah, I don't think you've gotten to meet these guys yet, have you?

[Jimmy bends down to one knee between the Manectric and Houndoom, a hand resting on each of their heads as he introduces them in turn. The Manectric looks happier to be here than the Houndoom does, but between them they have the patience of ten saints. Jimmy snickers when the Manectric bumps his nose against Jimmy's hand while the Houndoom moves to sit on the asphalt with a low snort.]

This here's my partner, Leader, and this is Lucius! They weren't always this big- both of them barely went past my ankles before they evolved!

They can get that big if they start off this small? [She glances at her Litwick, the smallest.] Well jeez, that'd be something to get used to.

Can I... I mean, do they like being pet...?

Oh yeah, sure! Go right ahead.

[Leader's tail is already slowly wagging at the prospect of attention. Lucius seems to be going out of his way to make it look like he doesn't really care...but pets though.

In the meantime, Jimmy stands back up with a nod.]

Lots of stuff gets a lot bigger later on! Sometimes they don't though, it all depends on what kind of Pokemon you're talking about. Like Espurr there- [Jimmy nods to Ashley's in question.] -those get bigger, but not massive or anything.

[Who does she pet first, decisions, decisions... Her Zubat still snuggled into her neck (hopefully he won't become a vampire and bite her or something), she just reaches out and pets both hounds, each with one hand. That's satisfying, right boys?]

That's reassuring. I don't think I could take a five foot version of Eliot jumping at me in the middle of calls. You're enough of a handful already, aren't you, Eliot? [...he is still staring at the sun.] Oookay, buddy...

But, wait. Will that make it difficult for them to all...be out like this? [She. Kind of likes it...]

Sometimes, but not always! Like, it might be a problem if you had six Charizards or something, but yours will grow up to be all sorts of different sizes. Some Pokemon don't even evolve, either because they can't or cause they don't want to, so it depends on a lot of things!

[Jimmy explains this while Ashley pets Lucy and Leader, with the Manectric appearing more receptive to the pettings than the Houndoom. At least, unless Ashley notices the way the Houndoom's spiked tail has begun to wag veeery slowly. Don't make a big deal out of it okay, gosh.]

Charizard, that's...the big dragon-thing with a flaming tail. [She nods along and moves her hands to give Jimmy's Pokémon some chin scratches.]

I guess I'll have to see as I go then with these guys. Hopefully none of you get too big.

Somehow, all of the Pokemon you've got are ones I don't have, but I don't think any of them get that big! I know there are some Zubat and Litwick in the mansion though, and they're all pretty small.

[You should see Jimmy's Tyrantrum, Ashley. Talk about big.]

So! What would you like to do first?

The...mansion? [She raises an eyebrow slowly.] I- I don't know, I've never been here before. Actually, I've only been here for...ten days, really.

So, wherever's good for, uh, newbies.

Oh, the mansion isn't mine! ...well, technically it is, I guess, but it actually used to belong to a friend of mine. He gave it to me when he went home, along with all the Pokemon living inside.

[Have you ever wanted to inherit a haunted mansion. It's pretty rad.]

C'mon, follow me! I'll just give you the grand tour!

[If asked, the answer would be a hard hell no, followed probably by running in fear.

So, you know, not the best place for Ashleys.]

He gave it to you? [Let's start this exploration...] How could he give it to you if he just...people just leave, right? They can't choose?

Well yeah...people can't really choose to leave. Or when they leave.

[Jimmy starts off down the street with his Pokemon following at his side, both of them only slightly reluctant to move away from Ashley and her gracious pettings.]

But Jack had been here for a pretty long time, way longer than me. I think he just wanted to be ready incase he ever did leave. He had a letter written to me and everything.

[He pushes his hands into his pockets with a shrug and his usual bright smile returning, even though it can't help but be a little sad.]

I promised him I'd take good care of it, so that's what I've been doing! I gotta show it to you, it's so cool. We made it into a haunted house for Halloween. It's pretty much a tradition by now!

Oh, so it's like a... Excuse me, did you say haunted.

[First thing's first.]

Yup, haunted!

[There are ghosts and everything it's very exciting!!]

Can I never see the haunted house, ever, in my entire life? Please?

[Oh, drat, Agatha wanted to meet other Litwick.]

Aww, but the ghosts are really nice! They love company!

[Lucius growls softly in the back of his throat as a way of stopping Jimmy, swatting his hip with his tail.]

Haha, okaay...don't worry, we don't have to go there if you don't want. What are your thoughts on the circus, then?

[Kind of grumbled:] I'm not really a fan of scary things.

It's a nice circus, right? Like...peanuts and three rings and tightropes and all that?

[Hey, Jimmy's not going to judge. ...admittedly, his hometown is probably what most people would consider straight up terrifying, so he's just used to it by now.]

Exactly! 'Cept instead of circus animals, we got Pokemon! It's seriously one of the most fun places to work ever!

Like, big feline Pokémon instead of lions, and... Okay. Okay, sure, that sounds good. That's in town?

Mhm! We have at least one show every month, sometimes more if there's something special going on, like our anniversary or a festival or something! I can show you around the tents n' stuff, if you'd like!

Like a backstage pass. [That puts her a bit more at ease.] Okay. Alright, sure. Let's start there.

[Jimmy nods eagerly, heading off toward the center of town with the massive department store building looming in the distance.]

Thanks for deciding to come along after all, by the way. I know that survey thing was probably kindof weird to just...suddenly be on if you didn't actually sign up for it.

Yeah, it definitely was. [A small glare at Agatha, who just tromps alongside her.] But, um, more than that, thank you for being so cool about it all. Most people would probably be disappointed.
