002 | Video
[It's starting to get a bit late when a video will appear on the network, with the feed coming through being exceedingly dark. It's begun to get dark out but the sun is still setting, giving the surroundings an orange tint to them. There's a muffled stir over the feed as the view is shifted upwards a bit, finally giving the view of one Jimmy Two-Shoes, completely surrounded with Pokémon.
There's a Bloober stuck to the tree he's leaning against, slowly glooping it's way up and down and all around the trunk, leaving a trail of slime in it's wake. A Sentret is on his shoulders with her tail wrapped around his neck, a Buizel sitting with his back to Jimmy's side, and his starter Electrike lying across his lap. He's got his sleeping bag out, but he's sitting on top of it instead of actually getting in it. Apparently, sleeping bags aren't a one-size-fits-all deal, especially when you're just shy of being over six feet tall.
Also, while the evening might be nice for most, it's a lot colder than Jimmy's at all used to. A lot. Back home every day promised sweltering heat that was nearly unbearable, and on top of that he's not really dressed for being outside at night besides. In spite of all of this, Jimmy's not frowning- it's more of a half-smile grimace as he tries to lock his jaw to keep his teeth from chattering as he adjusts the 'Gear in his hands.]
Is...um. ...
[Maybe he should have thought about what he was going to say before...just making a video, but whatever.]
Is anyone around to, uh....talk, maybe? ...N-nothing's wrong or anything, just um....
[The boy shifts slightly and pulls his legs a bit closer to himself, causing Cherry to stir and curl a bit tighter around his neck and shoulders.]
S'been uh....kinda quiet on this Route today, yaknow? ...
[He laughs a little before reaching back with one hand to brush his hair back. After another moment or two the feed cuts.]

Yeah, Calvin didn't mean to do it either. Until he was a Pikachu, it was kind of hurting him too every time he did it. He was little enough for me to carry around everywhere, but every time he got excited he'd shock me.

Aw, I guess he doesn't do that anymore now that he's a....a Raichu, is that what you said?
[Sorry, he's still trying to understand how evolution works, exactly. He's already learned from Ishimaru that Eevee can evolve into a lot of different things, so that's gotten him curious about just what other Pokemon can evolve.]
Uh huh, just a week or so ago. I left Cherrygrove three days ago and have been trying to get to Violet ever since...
[He smiles weakly, rubbing the back of his neck.]
It's uh.....taking a lot longer than I thought it would..

[You really must be new if you don't know about evolution yet. Susie's ears twitch and she lifts her head when Shaun mentions Floatzel. Yes, that is her. "Floa!"]
Oh. Yeah, I remember it took a while to get to Violet the first time 'cause we didn't have pokemon big enough to ride. Do you not like traveling by yourself?
[Shaun hasn't really had the luxury of traveling by himself since the first three frozen days he spent on the way to Cherrygrove. Such is the luck of being a small, vulnerable childling.]

And, uh....no, not really. I mean going from New Bark to Cherrygrove wasn't so bad, but....the routes between Cherrygrove and Violet are kinda....really long, aheh.

Well... Maybe you can find someone to travel with in Violet City. Traveling with someone makes it a lot less boring.

I hope so! Though Nanami is gonna come get me and bring me to Goldenrod for her birthday, so that'll be something fun to do before I start traveling again. I might meet more people when I get there, too!

Wait, you know Nanami?
[He shouldn't really be surprised. Sometimes it's hard for him to remember to do stuff other than train and talk to a few select people on a regular basis, but Nanami (he'd dropped the Miss not too recently) was on the network a lot more because it seemed like she had a lot more people she knew.]
