[The video feed starts up with some audible, muffled snickering as Jimmy turns his Gear around to face himself. It looks like he's crouched on his knees next to a cot in a tent, presumably one of the ones set up for the circus performers in Goldenrod. He's whispering with amusement clear in his tone.]

Guys- guys. Check out Cypress.

[He turns the Gear around to show a fat little Bulbasaur sitting on a pillow on the cot, watching his trainer curiously as he tips his head to one side. For a moment he doesn't do anything but sit there...until he jerks and hiccups. His ears fall back as a low growl starts up in his throat, his eyes shifting from side to side.

Hic. ...grrrrr.

Hic. ...grrrrrRRRR.

After a third time he turns his head and paws a little at the air, the hiccups nearly hitting him with enough force to cause him to tumble over. He is a baby, after all. Basically, there's a lot of this happening (sans barking. maybe) and Jimmy can barely hold back the giggles while he watches.

He doesn't let it go on forever, though, and eventually shifts to sit on the edge of the bed, pulling the still aggressively hiccuping Bulbasaur into his lap.]

You guys know of any good ways to get rid of the hiccups?

Nah, not yet. They just started up a bit ago and...I couldn't help getting my Gear out.

[Cypress lets out a squeak as he hiccups again. Oh the humanity.]

I'll do that though, I think. He can't fight them off forever.

Poor thing's having a rough time of it, looks like.

No kidding...it's okay, buddy.

[He says to the Bulbasaur as he growls and growls because something is clearly attacking him and he can't find it and this is a crisis.]

Maybe they'll just wear off before too long, yeah?

Usually does, but the little guy looks like he's gonna be damn confused for a while.

I'm gonna try to get my Delphox to explain to him what hiccups are...but I dunno for sure if he'll get it.

Oh, yeah? He the kind that's a little dense, 'cause I can tell you I got a few like that.

Aw, well...I dunno if I'd say that. He's still pretty little...

[..then again, he's pretty adamant about murdering the heck out of those hiccups.]

I hope so! Maybe he's just confused cause they started while he was sleeping...

Might have somethin' to do with it, sure. You have him all that long, or did he just hatch?

I've had him for a while, but it's been a little less than two months since he actually hatched, so...he's still pretty small-!

[Just as Jimmy finishes his sentence he jerks a little, reaching out his hand not holding the Gear to keep Cypress from leaping right off of his lap. His vines are out at this point, wiggling helplessly as the air as he pats all around to try and get it to ssstoooop alreaaady.]

[WHOOPS nope there he goes full-on laughing, sorry jimmy]

[ITS OKAY HE UNDERSTANDS...though now he's grappling with both his Gear and a very wiggly and frustrated Bulbasaur.]

Cy! You- are fine! They'll go away in a sec!

[HIS SIDES HURT]

Y-you having a problem there, kid?

Jimmy manages to get the poor thing still again after a moment by sort of wrestling him back into his lap, holding him down gently by the bulb on his back while he just...

Hic hic hic hic]

I...I should prolly get him some water soon.

Yeah, somebody else mentioned that that might work. I dunno if I really wanna scare him, though...that might make 'em worse.

Startling somebody and scaring 'em aren't really the same thing, are they? I mean, you startle somebody and they just kinda jump for a second or two, no big deal.

I guesso...wouldn't scare him any worse than the hiccups are, right?

At this rate, I'm thinkin' that's probably right.

I just gotta think how I'd go about it, now...maybe I can leave for a little while or something and surprise him when I come back?

[He almost doesn't want to leave him, though...he's a danger to himself and those around him right now.]
