[The video feed starts up with some audible, muffled snickering as Jimmy turns his Gear around to face himself. It looks like he's crouched on his knees next to a cot in a tent, presumably one of the ones set up for the circus performers in Goldenrod. He's whispering with amusement clear in his tone.]
Guys- guys. Check out Cypress.
[He turns the Gear around to show a fat little Bulbasaur sitting on a pillow on the cot, watching his trainer curiously as he tips his head to one side. For a moment he doesn't do anything but sit there...until he jerks and hiccups. His ears fall back as a low growl starts up in his throat, his eyes shifting from side to side.
Hic. ...grrrrr.
Hic. ...grrrrrRRRR.
After a third time he turns his head and paws a little at the air, the hiccups nearly hitting him with enough force to cause him to tumble over. He is a baby, after all. Basically, there's a lot of this happening (sans barking. maybe) and Jimmy can barely hold back the giggles while he watches.
He doesn't let it go on forever, though, and eventually shifts to sit on the edge of the bed, pulling the still aggressively hiccuping Bulbasaur into his lap.]
You guys know of any good ways to get rid of the hiccups?

Does... he not realize he's the one hiccuping?
video
Haha, nope! I don't think he does. He's never had the hiccups before.

Like this.
[He digs around in his bag, and holds up his water bowl, tilting it slightly- if it wasn't empty it's be leaking.]
See if you can get him to try and drink from the far end. The effort of having to focus on your breathing and drink at the same time helps reset the diaphragm. Water WILL get everywhere though.

Holy CRAP that's amazing.
[...he's managing to keep it to stifled snickering, at least? Sorry Cypress.]
Only way I know a' gettin' rid of hiccups is t'scare someone, sorry.

Yeaah, I've heard'a that one...I dunno if I wanna scare him, though. Might just make it worse.

[Even Impmon's not enough of a dick to intentionally scare a baby.]

I didn't even know Pokemon could have them too... But water is good! [as you've clearly heard above.] And I've never tried either myself, but I've heard that sugar or honey or a couple of drops of vinegar might also help. Except vinegar sounds like a really bad idea for a Pokemon or any animal, really, even if it works for humans. [well, unless they like spicy food, then maybe...]
video
[Thankfully, the hiccups are so bad right now that Cypress is too distracted to notice anyone laughing at him...and too determined to fight whatever keeps jumping inside him.]

Is...he okay? [TRYING NOT TO LAUGH]

[Jimmy says, just as Cypress waves at the air again and ends up whacking him in the arm with a foot.]
...or, he will be, anyway.

Poor little guy! One trick I know is to get the hiccuper distracted and thinking about something else--it seems weird, but it really does work. I'm not sure how easy it would be to do with Cypress, though.

[Jimmy looks back down, watching the Bulbasaur paw the air again, snapping his jaws a little.]
...well, focused.

I've heard that scaring someone with hiccups will make them go away.

A lot of people have, sounds like...either that or drinking water.
Yaknow, I don't even know why that is.

That's the cutest thing he's seen in ages and he can't help the tiny laugh that slips out.]
B-Besides waiting for it to pass, um... You could try having him hold his breath.
video;
I'll see if I can't get him to do that if water and all the other stuff doesn't work...I dunno if he'll be able to hold his breath long enough for it to work, though. What do you think?

[Naki]
I don't know any cure for the hiccups though. I usually just get mad and break shit or punch people until they go away. Though there was this one time some guy punched me in the stomach and that made 'em stop!
[YOU'RE THE LEAST HELPFUL PERSON HERE, NAKI]
...Not that I'm suggesting punching your Pokémon. It'd probably shoot leaves at you or something. The sharp leaves. Um... Razor Leaf? That one.
Yeah, I didn't either! ....but yeeeah I dunno if that would be all that great of an idea. I mean, I don't wanna hurt him or nothin'. The closest I can do to that is startle him, but we already tried that and it didn't work.
