[The video feed starts up with some audible, muffled snickering as Jimmy turns his Gear around to face himself. It looks like he's crouched on his knees next to a cot in a tent, presumably one of the ones set up for the circus performers in Goldenrod. He's whispering with amusement clear in his tone.]
Guys- guys. Check out Cypress.
[He turns the Gear around to show a fat little Bulbasaur sitting on a pillow on the cot, watching his trainer curiously as he tips his head to one side. For a moment he doesn't do anything but sit there...until he jerks and hiccups. His ears fall back as a low growl starts up in his throat, his eyes shifting from side to side.
Hic. ...grrrrr.
Hic. ...grrrrrRRRR.
After a third time he turns his head and paws a little at the air, the hiccups nearly hitting him with enough force to cause him to tumble over. He is a baby, after all. Basically, there's a lot of this happening (sans barking. maybe) and Jimmy can barely hold back the giggles while he watches.
He doesn't let it go on forever, though, and eventually shifts to sit on the edge of the bed, pulling the still aggressively hiccuping Bulbasaur into his lap.]
You guys know of any good ways to get rid of the hiccups?

[...or peanut butter, apparently, assuming he'll even eat it.]

[...currently managed to kick Jimmy in the stomach as he hiccups and wheels around to snap at the air again.]
...n-not having a good time.

[Literally no one else does, Naki]

[Hang on, Naki. The camera's jostled a bit as he has to pick up the Bulbasaur beneath the arms with both hands, adjusting his position before plopping him back down on his lap.]
Maybe I could return him for a while...? I dunno if they'd go away, but...

[Naki suddenly looks really excited.]
Go get him healed at the Pokémon Center!! Surely they can cure the hiccups! And even if healing him won't fix it then they'll probably have really good advice!!

If anybody would know what to do it'd be them, huh? ...I dunno why I didn't think of that before.
[NAKI YOU'RE A SAINT?? or well, Cypress probably thinks so. He's...a bit of a mess, currently.
Jimmy shifts a little to pull a minimized pokeball from his belt, pressing the button at the center to release the catch. Once that's done, he pats Cypress one more time before returning him with a second button press.]
Just rest for now, buddy. Maybe you won't be hiccuping while you're in there.

[YOU NEVER DO, NAKI]
But yeah, they should be able to help him! They've probably seen this before in every Pokémon imaginable, so I'm sure they can fix him!
no subject
Yeah, you're right! Thanks for the advice!
[Otherwise, Cypress may very well have Razor Leaf'd a hole in his tent at some point.]
So, what've you been up to, Naki?
no subject
Eh, not much. Training sometimes. Not much else. I guess I've been getting a little restless.
[Sometimes you just miss killing people, Jimmy!!!]

He gives a thoughtful hum at that, leaning back a bit on his cot as he continues turning the ball over.]
Say...did you hear? We're having a big show this month with the circus. It's gonna be it's one year anniversary, yaknow!
