[It's a bright, sunny day on the road to Viridian City. It's also pretty devoid of trainers at the moment, save for Jimmy and Joker as they make their way to town. This is pretty inconvenient, given the fact that Jimmy's feeling very cheerful at the moment, but it isn't just your average, everyday Jimmy brand cheerfulness.

Oh no. He's singing. He is singing at the top of his lungs as he walks with his Gear in hand, pointed up at himself.

There is a Chatot perched on Jimmy's shoulder, and every time the song switches into the parts requiring strictly whistling, he points the Gear over at him and lets him take over. Not because he doesn't want to, of course, but because he literally can't whistle. Having a permanent gap in your teeth does that to you, unfortunately. But by god is he singing the singing parts.]

Come ooon and give a whistle! Let me hear you whistle! I know you can whistle! Everybody whistle!~

[And right on cue, Paco the Chatot extends his wings out to the side and whistles his little heart out for his trainer.]

[Jimmy nods, glancing over at the Chatot still on his shoulder, who looks ready to break into cheerful whistling whenever he gets the chance. Without missing a beat, Jimmy launches into the first lines of the song, that much easy to remember since he literally just heard them.]

Oh Tom, he was a piper's son!~
He learnt to play when he was young!~

[Such energy put into it makes Joker laugh, even if one of the Pyroar nearby seems more befuddled by what's happening than anything.]
