Well. There's only one reason you find a friend's Pokemon in your possession, isn't there? A quick attempt at a call confirms his worst fears. He left to go on a trip, promising he'd be back soon. He didn't even get to say goodbye.

It takes him a little while, but he eventually makes a video from a seat on the couch inside the Pokemon Center (since he hasn't actually left yet). There's a pokeball in his hands, but he hasn't had the heart to release what's inside yet.

For the first time in a long time, Jimmy Two-Shoes looks...genuinely upset.]

Molly's gone home.

[His grip on the ball shifts a little. When he looks back up he forces a smile, strained and maybe a little too wide.]

If you got any of her Pokemon, lemme know, okay? I'm not gonna take 'em, I just...wanna make sure they're alright.

[He's not, not really, but when is he ever not okay? This is as uncomfortable for him as it probably is for everyone else, and he probably wouldn't have broadcasted it if he didn't feel like he owed that much to her, at least.]

I dunno what to say...It won't bring her back, or nothin'.

[And it feels selfish wishing it would, even though he knows everyone who has gone through this before has felt that way.]

It really fucking sucks to lose someone that you care about, though. It's okay if you wanna be fucked up by it for awhile, Jimmy. You don't have to lie. I mean, if you don't wanna be fucked up in front of people, that's okay too. But she was your friend and now she's gone home, and no matter what, that's gonna mess you up in some way.

[One of his good friends had returned home and he'd been a fucking mess for weeks. He gets it.]

[Joker had just gone out to pick up something fastfood and unhealthy for dinner, because what's going to a hotel first? It's common for him, when he's waiting in line or just bored, to flicker through his 'Gear to see if anything new has shown up.]

[And that's when he sees Jimmy's message.]

[He makes a beeline right back for the Center, one of the more behaved Pyroar on his team carrying the food in her mouth, and he walks up to the younger boy to put his hand on his shoulder.]

[That's all the boy says for a moment, not quite looking at Joker at first. He's still looking at that pokeball, debating actually opening it or not.]

Sorry, I...I was gonna come straight back to the hotel...

[He nods to his Pyroar, instructing her to go over and set the bag of food by Jimmy's feet.]
